Our client is a well-managed, remote Council located on the West Coast of the pristine Cape York Peninsula where the fishing is great and the lifestyle is relaxed.


The Opportunity

The Director of Infrastructure and Operational Services is responsible for the management of several departments and projects Including but not limited to: Water, Building Assets and Roads.

About You

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

• Proven hands-on success in management of building, civil construction water & wastewater management
• Demonstrated financial management skills, including preparing and managing budgets, project cost control, computing and acquiring material quantities, project / contract costing and quotations
• Demonstrated ability with Project Scoping & Timelines
• Strategic Planning
• Strong written and verbal communications, report writing and computer skills
• Demonstrated experience and or qualifications in a similar role
• Understanding and respect for Indigenous culture
• Be able to provide a clear national criminal history check
