The Opportunity

The role of Farm Supervisor is to oversee and supervise the day to day running of the Banana plantation.


You must have at least a Certificate IV or higher qualification and at least 1-year relevant job experience.

About You

You will need to undertake the following tasks;

  • Taking directions from Managers to meet production objectives.
  • Organises and supervises different cultivation gangs for harvesting, de-budding, de-leafing, de-suckering, bell injecting and bagging.
  • Ensuing staff have the required tools and equipment for scheduled work.
  • Checking fruit quality/girth sizing and hardness for harvest operation.
  • Organises and supervises transportation for banana Bunches
  • Ensure quality of harvest throughout harvest period to minimize damage
  • Communicating with shed staff as to damage in banana hands entering packing facility
  • Training new staff as to required duties for their position
  • Monitors staff rosters, hours, performance and reporting any staff grievances
  • Oversees the work of farming units and suggests improvements and changes
  • Inspects farming equipment, ensuring routine maintenance is carried out and repairs are made when necessary.
  • Inspects Banana plants to identify and report unusual growth, disease or pest signs
  • Maintenance and regular monitoring of irrigation system
  • Ensure and enforce compliance with government regulations and health and safety standards
