The Client

Our client is a well-managed, remote Council located on the West Coast of the pristine Cape York Peninsula.

The Opportunity

To provide maintenance services to Council facilities and the homes within the community while working and mentoring employees in the Building, Construction and Maintenance team.

About You

• Demonstrated post trade experience of at least 2 years plus, gained in remote and/or Aboriginal communities.
• Experience undertaking a high level of maintenance within a remote and/or Aboriginal community.
• Demonstrated experience and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, with ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with Indigenous people
• Minimum of a Certificate III in Carpentry
• Open unrestricted Car (Manual) drivers licence
