POSITION

We have a full-time position of Production Manager in St Kilda VIC 3182.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Tertiary qualification, ideally in a related discipline such as engineering or textile industry.
  • 5 Years of relevant experience in the garment or textile field would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience in a production management role.
  • A broad knowledge of embroidery machines and processes.
  • Understanding of quality standards for products in garment/textile industry.
  • Strong leadership skills to guide and grow team members.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Our Production Manager will oversee all daily operations of the production department, ensuring efficient and exact production to meet deadlines. He/she will direct procedures and policies to ensure maximum quality, productivity, and safety.

REPORTS TO

You will be required to report to the Managing Director.

POSITION DUTIES

You will need to undertake the following duties:

  • Oversee the production of all orders daily to ensure they are faithfully produced to the customer brief and deadline.
  • Plan daily production schedules. Provide time estimates to ensure optimum daily output.
  • Provide a clear and concise brief to the machine operator, noting all requirements for the order: thread colours, logo guidelines and garment specifics.
  • Create pre-production sample and ensure customer approval prior to production.
  • Manage stock supplier relationships. Provide supplier orders and returns.
  • Manage stock receipt. Check quality and quantity.
  • Manage out-sourced supply from garment printers and digital transfer suppliers.
  • Ensure quality of embroidery to maintain business quality standards.
  • Manage packing and shipping of orders as required.
  • Manage operation of Tajima 4 head/60 needle machine and Tajima Single head/15 needle machine and ensure maintenance schedules as required.

SALARY

The salary offered will be $70,000 per annum.
