The Opportunity

Our client is currently looking for an experienced and qualified ICT Technician that will have the skills and experience to install and maintain computer systems and networks aiming for the highest functionality.

The role requires thorough knowledge of computer software and hardware, and a variety of applications, networks and operating systems. The ideal candidate will also have great troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail.

As our client has a diverse client base, this role will expose you to a diverse variety of work involving exciting new technical challenges which will in-turn, enable you to learn many new ICT based skills.

About You

If you have a strong desire to further develop your career as a professional ICT Support Technician, this role is for you. This is ideally suited to someone with 3+ years’ experience in a similar role. In this role, you will be trained to undertake diagnosis of ICT problems and provided the skills to enable you to troubleshoot for level 2 and 3 issues giving you the technical capability to resolve customer requests.

In this role, you will be providing implementation and support of ICT Infrastructure services to new and existing clients. You will be responsible for fulfilling the following duties:

  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Assist end-users with software installation, updates, and usage.
  • Supporting online and on prem, servers, desktops and applications.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade computer hardware components such as memory, hard drives, and graphics cards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on computer systems.
  • Inventory management of hardware assets.
  • Install, configure, and maintain software applications and operating systems.
  • Ensure software updates, patches, and security protocols are up to date.
  • Assist with software license management.
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining local area networks.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
  • Collaborate with network administrators to ensure network stability and security.
  • Provide training to end-users on software applications and basic IT procedures.
  • Create and maintain user guides and documentation.
  • Implement security best practices to protect client’s data and IT infrastructure.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents or breaches.
  • Remote monitoring of PC’s, servers, routers and switches.
  • Assist remote users with IT issues and troubleshoot connectivity problems.
  • Support remote work environments and ensure secure access.
  • Assist in the selection and procurement of IT equipment and software.
  • Work with vendors to acquire necessary hardware and software licenses.
  • Maintain accurate records of hardware and software configurations.
  • Document support and resolutions for future reference.

The successful Candidate will also require:

  • Certifications and Experience with Microsoft 365 cloud technologies, including Office 365, exchange, SharePoint/One Drive, Intune, and mobile device management.
  • Experience in Veeam software and Watchguard would be an advantage.
  • A valid Australian Drivers license in addition to having your own reliable car.
  • The ability to undergo a police check.
  • The willingness to secure a Positive Notice Working with Children Blue Card.
