POSITION

Full-time position for a Bar Supervisor is available in Cairns City, 4870 QLD.

SKILLS

You must have a least a relevant AQF (or equivalent) Cert III or above + 12 months relevant experience. If no relevant qualification, 2 years of fulltime relevant experience is required.

RESPONSIBILTIES

As a Bar Supervisor, your key responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, supervising, coordinating and training bar staff and ensure a high level of customer service is delivered to guests. You will handle inventory management, customer inquiries and complaints while maintaining cleanliness and compliance with health regulations. You are able to lead by example and confidently follow management directions and procedures with a positive attitude.

TASKS INCLUDE

  • Implementation and completion of daily checklists
  • Responsibility of maintaining the venue appearance
  • Reporting all maintenance requests
  • Attending all management meetings
  • Cleaning bar areas
  • Cleaning and clearing tables
  • Picking up glasses and emptying ash trays
  • Cleaning and care of glasses and equipment. Ensuring all Floor Attendants adhere to the ‘Glassy Weekly Cleaning Duties’ schedule and all tasks are completed to a high standard
  • Assisting in preparation and closure of service areas. Being able to complete all shift closing / pack down tasks as outlined by the ‘Glassy Close Checklist’
  • Providing general assistance to Bar Attendants
  • Attending to beer line and beer / beverage tap maintenance as required
  • Practising proper workplace health and safety procedures
  • Other incidental and peripheral duties as requested by the Employer
  • Maintaining employee policies and procedures
  • Cleaning and tidying associated areas
  • Responding to customer requests in a professional and timely manner
  • Making all customers feel welcome
  • Ensuring adequate stock levels and maintaining clean and organised service and storage areas
  • Being able to resolve problems effectively and professionally
  • Offering appropriate and relevant assistance to all customers
  • Promoting the Employer’s services and facilities to customers when appropriate
  • Assisting in maintaining customer service standards set by the Employer
  • Ensuring your work area complies with the highest standards of cleanliness and good order
  • Ensuring that customers are served in a professional and diligent manner
  • Maintaining a current and thorough knowledge of all systems
  • Maintaining current liquor licencing knowledge and understanding venue specific requirements
  • Practicing and enforcing proper tendering and stock control procedures to reduce stock variances

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
  • Positive work attitude and team player
  • Exceptional customer service skills – lead by example
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Experience in customer service essential
  • Experience in a high-volume bar environment essential

SALARY

The salary offered will be $65,000 to $75,000 per annum based on experience.
