POSITION

Full-time position for a Security Officer is available in Kununurra 6743 WA.

SKILLS

You must have:

• At least an AQF (or equivalent) cert II or above + 1 year of relevant employment experience.
• Security and Crowd Control licence
• First Aid Certificate
• Car license
• Minimum triple vaccinated for Covid-19

Beneficial:

• Recent experience in remote and regional geographic locations
• Constructions white card

Skills:

• Skilled consistent performance delivery in security and crowd control.
• Maintain good business relationships with clients.
• Disciplined and respectful manner in carrying out security operations.
• Able to perform to and comply with company Standard Operating Procedures and standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Demonstrating discipline and compliance with all company’s Standard Operating Procedures and Policies.
• Maintaining personal presentation to the company required standards.
• Attendance and punctuality for all rostered shifts.
• Demonstrated skilled consistent performance and delivery in security and crowd control in a respectful and disciplined manner in security environments including but not limited to:
  • Security patrols
  • Static security
  • Hospital / Mental health security
  • Event crowd control
  • Night club / pub crowd control
  • CCTV Monitoring
• Be able to resolve possible conflicts by intervening, mediating, or providing guidance to de-escalate situations and ensure a safe environment for everyone involved.
• Enforcing organisational policies and regulations to maintain order and safety.
• Access control in restricted areas by checking identification, issuing visitor passes, and ensuring that only authorised individuals enter the premises.
• Promptly respond to alarms, investigate potential breaches, and report any malfunctions or vulnerabilities.
• Implementing measures to prevent crime such as maintaining a visible presence, conducting security assessments, or implementing security protocols to minimize the risk of theft, vandalism, or unauthorised access.

SALARY

Paid above Security Services Award 2020. Annual earnings are dependent upon actual rosters plus remote accommodation assistance allowance.

$27.00 - $55.00 per hour
