POSITION

We have a full-time position for Farm Supervisor available in Boogan, QLD 4871.

SKILLS

You require at least a Certificate IV or higher qualification and at least 1-year relevant job experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your role as a Farm Supervisor is supervise banana farm cultivation operations at different farming stages of production.

REPORTS TO

You will report to the Farm Managers.

DUTIES

The position requires the following duties:

• Consultancy and planning with Farm Manager to meet the business objectives.
• Overseeing, supervising and delegating the work of farm hands.
• Training new staff as to required duties for their position.
• Monitoring staff hours, performance and reporting any staff grievances.
• Ensuring staff have the required tools and equipment for scheduled work.
• Checking tasks performed by farm hands is correct and completed.
• Ensuring deadlines are met for cultivation measures.
• Organising transportation of staff and produce on the farm.
• Overseeing that the waste materials are dispose correctly.
• Inspecting farming equipment, ensuring routine maintenance is carried out and repairs are made when necessary.
• Ensuring farm hands have appropriate tools and personal protective equipment for anticipated duties.
• Ensuring and enforcing compliance with government regulations and health and safety standards.
• Ensuring farm biosecurity measures are maintained to stop possible infection and detection of Panama Tropical Race 4 (TR4).
• Additional duties may be required from time to time as required by the business.

SALARY

The salary offered will be $65,000 to $ 75,000 per annum based on your experience.
