The Client

The Opportunity

This highly autonomous role reports to the Director of Community Services and is responsible for leading the Regulatory Services team. Key duties include:

• Managing animal control, including overseeing impound facilities and leading public education programs.
• Enforcing local laws, addressing infringements, and representing the Council in legal matters.
• Supervising parking and litter control activities.
• Supporting team development through training and mentoring.
• You will play a vital role in fostering community safety, compliance, and education while contributing to the Council’s broader objectives.

About You

You are a skilled leader with a strong background in regulatory services and animal management.

Essential requirements include:

• Extensive knowledge or skills in a similar role
• Cert 1V in Local Government Investigation (or ability to obtain)
• Demonstrated experience in regulatory enforcement and team leadership.
• Current Driver’s Licence and Firearms Licence A or B (or ability to obtain).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle sensitive matters professionally.
• Desirable attributes include experience in local government and accreditation in dangerous animal management.
