POSITION

We have a full-time position of Farm Supervisor in Mareeba QLD 4880.

SKILLS

You require at least a Certificate IV or higher qualification and at least 1-year relevant job experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your role as the Farm Supervisor is to supervise the daily tasks of the business and assist the managers with the farm operations.

POSITION DUTIES

You will need to undertake the following tasks:

• Consultancy and planning with manager to meet the business objectives.
• Supervise a wide range of farm operations as de-budding, de-leafing, de-suckering, dieseling and harvesting.
• Train and supervise farm workers – coordinate and direct their activities.
• Ensure deadlines are met for cultivation measures, harvesting and packing.
• Confer with managers to coordinate farm hands as to assigned tasks.
• Monitor staff hours, performance and resolving any grievances.
• Oversee the work of farm workers and suggest improvements and changes to increase efficiency.
• Inspect banana irrigation infrastructure, scheduling watering and sprinkler maintenance.
• Inspect farming equipment, ensure routine maintenance is carried out and repairs are made when necessary.
• Ensure farm workers have appropriate tools and personal protective equipment for anticipated duties.
• Ensure and enforce compliance with government regulations and health and safety standards.
• Additional duties may be required from time to time as requested by the business.

SALARY

The salary offered will be $60,000 to $75,000 per annum based on your experience.
