The Opportunity

Are you passionate about maintaining and enhancing built environments? Do you have a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to safety? We are seeking a skilled Facilities Officer (Infrastructure Advisor/Maintenance Planner) to join our dynamic team in the North Coast Region at our Maryborough office.

About the Role

As the Infrastructure Advisor/Maintenance Planner, you will:

  • Provide expert advice and consultancy services to schools, senior management, and staff on a wide range of facilities planning, investment, and portfolio operations.
  • Identify inefficiencies and recommend practical solutions.
  • Collaborate with resource management specialists to ensure the effective delivery of services.
  • Analyze data to support sound decision-making.
  • Work closely with school staff, offering guidance and knowledge to assist with facilities management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a strong focus on safety and compliance.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills to handle priorities effectively.
  • Use Microsoft Office and other business systems proficiently to support planning and operations.

About You

This role is best suited for candidates already based in Maryborough or nearby areas within a comfortable commuting distance, as it is not a FIFO position and is not be ideal for relocation.

  • A strong understanding of building and asset maintenance environments.
  • Logical reasoning to prioritize tasks and address inefficiencies.
  • Strong communication skills to engage effectively with school staff and other stakeholders.
  • A valid C-class Driver’s Licence.
  • A valid Blue Card.
  • Ability to pass a Criminal History Check.
