The Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Support Officer to join our team. This role focuses on providing expert support in procurement, purchasing, and contract management, ensuring high standards of service to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver excellent customer service to customers.
• Support procurement, purchasing, and contract management activities for stakeholders.
• Collaborate across various procurement teams to achieve defined outcomes.
• Assist in developing and maintaining procurement instructions, guidelines, and standard forms.
• Handle procurement-related projects, including researching strategies and producing reports.
• Manage orders, including purchase orders, work orders, and material requests.
• Support procurement training and induction programs, including the development of training materials and sessions.
• Maintain current knowledge of legislative and departmental procurement requirements.
• Perform administrative support functions and demonstrate flexibility in a fast-paced, KPI-driven environment.
• Exhibit professionalism, teamwork, and initiative to contribute to a positive workplace culture.

About You

• Strong knowledge and expertise in procurement, purchasing, and contract management, with an emphasis on analysis and reporting.
• Accreditation in procurement (e.g., Queensland Purchasing, QGCPO, CIPS) is highly regarded, or the ability to quickly acquire accreditation.
• Proficiency in data entry, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
• Attention to detail with a good understanding of computer systems (e.g., Ellipse, SAP).
