About the Role

Precruitment is proud to partner with a Regional Council near the Queensland coast, serving a community of approximately 16,000 people.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this role leads half of Council’s workforce, overseeing infrastructure and technical operations, departmental finance, disaster management, and WHS. You’ll drive strategic direction and operational excellence, ensuring the successful delivery of key projects and services.

About You

• Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Engineering (or related field) highly regarded
• Extensive experience in a similar Local Government role
• Proven ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary teams
• Strong expertise in infrastructure, operations, financial management, WHS, and disaster response
• RPEQ Civil Engineering registration (preferred)
• Strong communication, negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and conflict resolution skills
• Current ‘C’ class driver’s licence
