POSITION

We have a full-time role available for a Retail Supervisor in Kununurra, WA 6743.

SKILL LEVEL

The role requires you to hold at least a relevant AQF (or equivalent) Certificate II or III. At least one year of relevant work experience may substitute for the formal qualification listed above.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Retail Supervisor, your role is pivotal in ensuring an exceptional customer experience and the efficient operation of the store. You will work closely with the Retail Manager to oversee day-to-day store operations, manage the team, and maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, and product quality. This position ensures the highest standards are maintained to deliver exceptional customer service. The Retail Supervisor will report to the manager and owner and will be responsible for supervising staff, scheduling, and upholding restaurant safety and security procedures.

REPORTING

You will report to the Retail Manager and Owner.

TASKS INCLUDE

You will be required to undertake the following duties:

  • Customer Experience: Manage the customer experience and team members during your shift, ensuring exceptional service is consistently provided. Address customer needs, inquiries, and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Day-to-Day Operations: Assist the Retail Manager in the day-to-day operations of the store, helping to maintain smooth and efficient processes.
  • Quality Service: Ensure that customers receive prompt service, and that the quality of goods and services meets exceptional standards.
  • Food Safety: Supervise food preparation to uphold food safety and operational standards, ensuring all products meet safety and quality criteria.
  • Team Supervision and Training: Supervise and train staff, assisting with their induction and ongoing training to ensure they consistently meet competency standards.
  • Financial Management: Oversee financial aspects, including payment processing, cash handling, and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Hands-on Contribution: Perform all tasks and responsibilities of a Sandwich Artist, setting an example for the team.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain the store to exceptional standards throughout your shift, ensuring equipment is in proper working order.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all store operating requirements, including health and safety regulations.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in taking inventory of goods for sale and participate in ordering new stock as needed.
  • Staff Schedules: Assist in planning and preparing work schedules, assigning staff to specific duties, and contributing to the hiring, training, evaluation, and promotion of staff. Resolve staff grievances as necessary.
  • Sales Procedures: Instruct staff on how to handle difficult and complicated sales procedures, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Cleanliness and Hygiene: Uphold the highest cleanliness standards, maintaining a clean and organised store environment.
  • Event and Promotion Planning: Assist in planning of specials events and promotions.
  • Regulation Adherence: Enforce adherence to all relevant regulations, quality standards, and company policies, ensuring the safety and security procedures are consistently followed.

SALARY

The position offers an annual salary of $65,000 - $75,000 negotiated based on your experience.
