Position

We have a full-time position for a Horticultural Supervisor in Dimbulah, Qld 4872.

Skills

The role requires you to possess at least a Certificate IV or a higher qualification and at least of one-year relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Your role as the Horticultural Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of the farms orchards.

Reports to

You will be required to report to the Farm Managers.

Position Duties

You will undertake the following duties;

• Consultancy and planning with the farm manager to meet the business objectives.
• Delegate, organise and supervises farm hands for the days work.
• Leading a team of farm workers, providing guidance and assigning tasks.
• Training new staff as to required duties for their position.
• Ensure staff has the required equipment and PPE to complete assigned tasks.
• Organise the transportation of staff and produce on the farm.
• Operate farm equipment and machinery to complete cultivation measures.
• Ensure equipment is maintained, arrange any necessary maintenance as needed.
• Monitoring hours, breaks and performance and reporting any staff issues.
• Monitoring task completion and ensuring cultivation targets are met.
• Ensure and enforce compliance with food safety, biosecurity and OH&S.
• Installation, maintenance and regular monitoring of irrigation systems.
• Additional duties may be required from time to time as requested by the business.

Salary

The role offers an annual salary range from $60,000 to $75,000, negotiated based upon your level of experience.
