Security Technician

POSITION

We have a full-time position of Security Technician available in Kununurra WA 6743. With operations in Kununurra, Wyndham and Halls Creek and expanding into the Broome region. The role is based in Kununurra with some travel to other locations required.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

The role requires you to hold at least a relevant AQF (or equivalent) Certificate IV and have at least 2 years of relevant work experience. At least 3 years of relevant work experience may substitute for the formal qualification.

Mandatory -

  • WA Security Installers License (or formally recognised equivalent from another State /Territory/Overseas Country);
  • Car Licence;
  • Open cabling registration plus Endorsements;
  • EWP Licence;
  • Construction White card;
  • Western Australia Police Clearance (National Police Clearance); and
  • Triple Vaccinated for Covid-19.

Beneficial -

  • Certificates/Degree in Electronics or Trade Certificates (locksmith); and
  • Experience in Telecommunications - CTV- Avigilon, Hikvision, Uniview Alarms- Hills Reliance, Ness, Bosch.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Install, configure, and maintain security and electronic systems in compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and diagnose faults in security systems, electronic circuits, power supplies, and communication networks.
  • Assemble, install, and program security system components, including CCTV, alarms, access control, and networked communication devices.
  • Commission and fault-find a variety of electronic security systems, ensuring proper operation and adherence to client requirements.
  • Connect security systems to power supplies and integrate them with monitoring stations and access control systems.
  • Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and upgrades on installed security systems to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Maintain accurate technical records of installations, troubleshooting, and fault diagnostics.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients regarding system operation and troubleshooting.
  • Market security solutions to prospective clients and establish strong client relationships.
  • Manage stock ordering processes to ensure the timely availability of equipment and materials.
  • Work with:
    • Alarms/Access Control: Challenger Tecom, ICT, Pacom, Gallagher
    • Communications: Ubiquiti products, switches, routers, data cabling
  • Operate autonomously within company policies and procedures while maintaining a high level of professionalism and accountability.
  • Take ownership of responsibilities as if managing a personal business.

SALARY

Annual Salary of $85,000 - $95,000 based on experience.
