POSITION
Full time position available for a Maintenance Planner in Mount Isa, QLD 4825.
SKILLS
You must have at least a relevant Diploma and 2 years of relevant full-time work experience. At least three years of relevant full-time work experience may substitute for the formal qualification.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Maintenance Planner position involves developing maintenance planning strategies, coordinating, and monitoring the maintenance of client’s assets, and ensuring adherence to safety practices and project schedules. Additionally, it includes optimising resource utilisation, collaborating with stakeholders, and improving data quality to enhance maintenance performance and decision-making while aligning plans with budgetary obligations.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Strong experience in maintenance planning and the ability to identify and undertake maintenance planning strategies as required.
- Self-motivated and strong time management skills with demonstrated experience in adhering to project time schedules.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relations with internal and external stakeholders with minimum supervision.
- Sound literacy and numeracy skills necessary to maintain records, reports, and other relevant documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and find innovative solutions when faced with maintenance challenges, ensuring the efficient and effective upkeep of client assets and equipment.
DUTIES
- Develop, plan, implement, and coordinate maintenance strategies and schedules for client’s assets, including fixed and mobile plant, buildings and facilities, underground assets and other equipment as required.
- Prepare detailed scopes of work which provide comprehensive information to ensure minimum delays on maintenance tasks.
- Provide strong guidance to the operations team, focusing on enhancing business performance, quality, and efficiency within client’s maintenance scheduling.
- Foster and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders specific to ensure maintenance activities are efficiently maintained.
- Coordinate and closely monitor the performance and work quality of scheduled maintenance operations.
- Adhere to and manage project time schedules aligned with the priorities of client’s operations and strategic goals, ensuring activities meet budgetary requirements.
- Plan work initiated through various stakeholders, ensuring resources are available and work aligns with Asset Maintenance Plans, asset criticalities, and Service Level Agreements (where applicable).
- Collaborate with section supervisors and the Coordinator, Facilities and Buildings to ensure preventive maintenance programs align with existing client operations.
- Ensure data quality and integrity within Work Management systems, improving performance and aiding client’s decision-making.
- Partner with Asset Management to understand client’s strategic priorities and identify alignment opportunities between strategic, corrective, and routine maintenance.
- Review maintenance service provider delivery schedules to ensure they align with the specific requirements of client’s asset management.
- Other duties as directed that fall within the scope of this position description and classification.
- Out of ordinary hours work may be required.
- You are required to follow any other lawful and reasonable directives provided by your supervisor or more senior officer.
ANNUAL SALARY
$75,000 - $85,000 per annum based on experience.
