The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and motivated tradesperson to join our client’s team in Townsville. As a vital part of Queensland’s building and construction industry, they offer the opportunity to work on a variety of projects.

This temporary role is expected to run for approximately three months, with the potential for extension depending on workload and business needs.

What’s on offer:

• Temporary assignment with a Government organisation
• Explore new parts of QLD outside of Townsville
• All travel and food supplied
• Be involved with many different projects and take the pressure off yourself if you have been in your own business for some time
• Please be advised this is not a FIFO role you need to be a Townsville resident or from surrounding areas

Key Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry trade work to a high standard
• Adhere to WHS standards and procedures

About You

• Trade qualification in carpentry or another construction industry trade qualification is highly desirable
• Current Driver's License and White card
• Proven carpentry skills with the flexibility to perform cross-trade tasks (like estimating, conditions assessing, and general building and construction
• Ability to work independently or in a small team
• Ability to travel as required including overnight stays of up to 4 nights and occasional travel by light aircraft
• Possess sound computer skills
