Position
Full-time position for a Restaurant Supervisor is available in Cairns 4870 QLD.
Skills
You must have at least a relevant AQF Cert IV or above + 12 months of relevant employment experience.
Responsibilities
The role of Restaurant Supervisor is to supervise, coordinate and train food and beverage staff and ensure a high level of customer service is delivered to guests.
Duties
- Supervise the operations of restaurant and lead the team to ensure smooth daily trade.
- Supervise and train staff, assist in the induction and training of all food and beverage staff ensuring all competencies are met.
- Monitoring staff rosters, performance and resolving any grievances.
- Plan daily work schedules and inform staff of timing and priorities of work tasks whilst dealing with problems as they arise to minimise the impact on scheduled work.
- Provide a high level of customer service by leading a team to take reservations, greet, acknowledge each guest in a friendly manner and handle customer complaints positively.
- Supervise the financial aspects of the restaurant including receipting payments, refunds, and cash handling.
- Ensuring dining facilities are clean, functional and of suitable appearance.
- Encourage safe work practices according to our policies and procedures.
- Create a positive culture through irreverence and empathetic engagements.

Salary
Annual salary of $65,000 - $75,000 based on experience.
