As an Ancillary Services Officer, you'll contribute to the Centre's smooth operation by supporting essential services like cleaning, kitchen support, laundry, grounds, and stores. Your efforts help maintain a safe and supportive space for young people in our care.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role ideal for those who are reliable, motivated, and looking to be part of a close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities

Temporary Full-time employment until 27 June 2025

  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in designated areas
  • Carry out detailed cleaning duties (e.g., floors, windows, restrooms, offices)
  • Store and manage cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Assist in the kitchen and help with meal delivery
  • Provide support in laundry services and minor clothing repairs
  • Assist with grounds maintenance (mowing, pruning, weeding)
  • Help with stores distribution and basic admin tasks
  • Dispose of waste appropriately
  • Foster a safe, secure, and inclusive working environment

About You

  • Organised and reliable
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable working across different tasks and locations
  • Committed to maintaining high hygiene standards
  • Positive and proactive in their approach
  • You’ll also need to demonstrate leadership qualities at the individual contributor level, including professionalism, accountability, and strong relationship-building skills.
  • A current valid Blue Card (or ability to obtain one).
  • Ability to pass a Criminal History Check, reference checks, and pre-employment screening (including disclosure of serious disciplinary history).
  • Proof of right to work in Australia (citizenship, residency, or visa).
