The Opportunity

Are you an experienced Roster Clerk with a background in managing complex schedules for larger organizations? Do you have a knack for multitasking and thrive in dynamic environments? If so, we want to hear from you!

We are seeking a skilled Roster Clerk to join our team, supporting a 24/7 operational workforce with scheduling for up to 100 staff at any given time. This role offers the opportunity to work within a structured rotating roster alongside another Roster Clerk, with hours generally between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM (flexible between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain rosters to meet operational needs in accordance with award provisions and industrial instruments.
  • Process staffing variations and oversee overtime approvals in consultation with relevant managers.
  • Liaise with the Administration Officer (Payroll) and Centre Managers to ensure accurate data is reflected in the HR Payroll system.
  • Provide accurate advice and support on roster, leave, employee entitlements, and related issues.
  • Maintain effective communication with all levels of staff across the centre.
  • Deliver administrative support, including data input into rostering systems and other computer-based platforms.
  • Maintain detailed records and reports on staffing trends, providing insight and advice to management.
  • Uphold confidentiality and integrity in handling all HR-related information.

About You

  • Blue Card (Working with Children Check) – Essential
  • Demonstrated experience managing large and complex rosters, preferably within a 24/7 operational environment
  • Strong understanding of award conditions and rostering systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Able to work flexibly, including the potential for rotational weekend coverage and variable hours
  • Available for an immediate start – highly desirable
