POSITION

We have a full-time position available for a Waiter in Port Douglas, QLD, 4877.

SKILL LEVEL

The role requires you to hold a relevant Cert III or above qualification and 12 months of relevant work experience. If no relevant qualification, then at least 2 years of relevant work experience is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Waiter, you will be responsible for ensuring a high level of customer service to provide guests with an enjoyable dining experience. Duties involve taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling payments, assisting with reservations and maintaining cleanliness and compliance with restaurant policies. Knowledge of the menu, specials and dietary considerations is essential.

TASKS

• Greet and acknowledge guests in a courteous and professional manner
• Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
• Serve food and beverages promptly
• Handle payments using POS systems and cash registers
• Clear and reset tables to restaurant standards
• Follow reservations and seating arrangements
• Monitor stock levels and notify supervisors when restocking is required
• Respond to customer complaints and inform the manager if needed
• Ensure compliance with liquor licensing requirements
• Restock and maintain service areas
• Collaborate with team members and assist where necessary
• Follow safe food handling procedures
• Maintain speed and accuracy during peak service times
• Perform occasional cleaning duties as required
• Manage multiple food orders simultaneously
• Perform other duties as directed by Head Chef or Management
• Maintain a professional attitude and contribute to a positive restaurant culture

SALARY

The successful applicant will receive a salary from $65,000 to $75,000 based on qualification and experience.
