Are you a skilled mechanical professional with a passion for problem-solving and precision? In these dynamic roles, you’ll carry out essential upkeep and mechanical overhauls across the factory’s high-performance crushing equipment, including critical systems such as hydraulic drives, pneumatics, pumping infrastructure, gear mechanisms, conveyors, motors. You’ll work closely with operations and engineering teams, ensuring equipment reliability and minimising downtime in a safety-focused environment.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Carry out routine servicing, diagnose mechanical faults, and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly
  • Use workshop tools and fabrication techniques to craft custom components for plant equipment
  • Share your experience with up-and-coming tradespeople, mentoring apprentices and trainees in best practices and safety awareness
  • Coordinate closely with planning teams on job timing, resource management, equipment lifecycle planning and have continuous improvement front of mind
  • Conduct some root cause analysis on equipment
  • Complete job records, time entries, and permit documentation with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Maintain high standards by inspecting and fine-tuning systems to ensure they meet performance expectations

What You’ll Bring

  • A trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering (Cert III – Mechanical Fitting or equivalent)
  • Electrical knowledge and skills are not required but would be beneficial
  • Strong mechanical fault finding and diagnosis skills
  • Current tickets for confined space and working at heights
  • A positive attitude, a safety-first mindset, and a commitment to learning and collaboration
