The Opportunity

Are you passionate about supporting community sport and helping local clubs thrive? We’re looking for a proactive and community-minded Club Development Officer to work with sporting and community organisations to build strong, sustainable programs and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver and manage the Go Clubs program to support local clubs.
• Plan and run events, programs, and community initiatives.
• Provide support, advice, and guidance to not-for-profit groups and facility users.
• Help resolve issues between community groups through positive engagement.
• Build strong partnerships with clubs, government agencies, and stakeholders.
• Maintain and update the Go Clubs website and related resources.
• Write grant applications and seek funding for projects and infrastructure.
• Prepare reports and provide advice on emerging community needs and opportunities.

About You

• A qualification in Leisure, Health, Community Services, or a related area, or equivalent experience.
• A current C Class Driver’s Licence.
• A strong communicator who enjoys working with people from all walks of life.
• Experience working with community groups, clubs, or not-for-profits.
• Good project, time, and event management skills.
• Confidence in problem-solving and working independently.
• Experience in writing grants or funding submissions.

Desirable:

• First Aid Certificate.
• Experience working in or with local government.
• Skills in community engagement, promotion, or marketing.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation affecting community organisations.
