Are you a passionate early childhood education professional ready to lead and inspire? We are seeking a dedicated Childcare Director to manage and oversee a well-established Childcare Centre located approximately 172 km west of Rockhampton and 40 km from the town of Baralaba.

This is a unique opportunity to take on a leadership role in a welcoming regional community, making a meaningful difference in the lives of children, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the overall administration and daily operations of the Centre
  • Develop, implement, and monitor high-quality early childhood development programs
  • Maintain and review Centre policies and practices to ensure compliance and best practice
  • Recruit, induct, and support Centre staff, fostering a positive and professional culture
  • Identify training needs and support the professional development of the team
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date record keeping and manage day-to-day finances
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and licensing requirements
  • Liaise with management on budgeting and operational planning

About You

  • Diploma in Early Childhood
  • Strong knowledge of Early Childhood Development and curriculum programming
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a cohesive team
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills, including budget planning
  • Familiarity with the Child Care Act 2002, Child Care Regulations 2003, and amendments
  • Understanding of and sensitivity to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and communities
  • Current First Aid certification and willingness to administer first aid as required
  • Current Blue Card
  • Current Class C QLD driver’s licence and the ability to travel as needed.
