The Opportunity

Are you highly organised, great with people, and passionate about delivering meaningful events? We are seeking an experienced Event Coordinator to lead the planning and logistics of our Client's events.

This role is pivotal in supporting the Land and Environment team to ensure the successful delivery of a large-scale national event, with up to 300 attendees, including over 200 Indigenous Land and Sea Rangers. You’ll be responsible for managing end-to-end event coordination, including travel, venue logistics, procurement, communications, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate travel and accommodation for staff and attendees
• Organise venue, equipment, catering, and promotional items
• Communicate with guests, suppliers, and venue staff
• Keep track of timelines, budgets, and event checklists
• Collect registrations and dietary needs
• Assist with reporting and feedback after the event
• Follow workplace safety and procurement procedures

About You

• High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Previous experience in conference/event coordination.
• Current open C Class Driver’s Licence.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Able to think creatively and problem-solve under pressure.
• A reliable and committed team player who thrives in dynamic environment
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and timelines.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including some weekends.
• Capacity to travel within Queensland
