The Client

We are partnering with a respected Government Department in Maryborough to recruit a Senior Supervisor (OO7 level) for an immediate start in a temporary capacity. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your skills in workplace health and safety, site supervision, and project delivery while contributing to essential services and infrastructure in Queensland.

The Opportunity

• Conduct on-site Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) inspections, including checks on plant and equipment.
• Ensure job documentation includes appropriate Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) or risk assessments.
• Foster a safe, compliant work environment for all staff and contractors.
• Regularly inspect mechanical construction and maintenance sites for legal and quality compliance.
• Monitor and escalate safety incidents, breaches, and concerns in accordance with established procedures.
• Prepare detailed tender and quotation documents for electrical projects, including accurate estimates, material lists, and schedules.
• Provide condition assessment services such as building inspections and asbestos sampling for lab testing.
• Support and supervise minor air-conditioning and refrigeration installations.
• Conduct audits on WHS, mechanical, and electrical safety and workmanship.
• Oversee compliance with testing regulations and maintain documentation (e.g., certificates of test).
• Monitor refrigerant usage and reclaim data, ensuring compliance with ARCTICK and refrigerant handling regulations.

About You

• Based in Maryborough or within a reasonable commuting distance (this is not a FIFO role).
• Hold a relevant trade qualification within the construction industry (highly desirable).
• Possess a current WHS General Safety Induction Card (mandatory).
• Experience in supervision, technical reporting, and compliance in construction or mechanical trades will be highly regarded.
