Policy and Compliance Officer (AO6)

The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Policy and Compliance Officer to support our client in governance, regulatory compliance, and policy best practices.
This temporary AO6 role is available for an immediate start, working approximately 18 hours per week over a 5-month period. You’ll work closely with legal and compliance staff to review and align policies, manage registers, and ensure legislative compliance.

About You
We are looking for a professional with:

• The ability to understand how to draft Policies in the areas of Corporate, HR and other areas.
• The ability to upward manage and process the policies.
• Strong knowledge of Queensland Government policy and regulatory frameworks
• Experience working on policy development, reviews, and compliance
• Confidence using Microsoft 365 and AI-driven productivity tools
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic team environment

Key responsibilities include:
• Reviewing and updating policies to align with best practice and current legislation
• Ensuring compliance with new regulations and standards
• Drafting and revising policies in consultation with stakeholders
• Maintaining a policy register and managing documentation
• Collaborating closely with legal and compliance team members
