Think red dirt, blue skies, and one of Australia’s most iconic outback towns. We’re recruiting on behalf of the Council for a qualified Plumber to take on a secure, well-paid role with a great lifestyle to match.

Birdsville was once a notorious place through which cattle drovers moved their stock, Birdsville is a thriving community where you can enjoy a cold drink at the iconic Birdsville Hotel, try your taste buds on a curried camel pie, back a winner at the world-renowned Birdsville Races or dance the day away at the Birdsville Big Red bash.

Watch the sunset over Big Red, the tallest sand dune in the Simpson Desert or spend an unforgettable day with family and friends at the Birdsville billabong, where birdlife, fish, yabbies and marsupials abound.

Please note this is not a FIFO role and you must be located in Birdsville (relocation assistance provided).

What we need from you:

• Trade-qualified Plumber (Drainer or other tickets are a bonus)
• QBCC licence
• Current Tetanus, Hep A & B shots or willing to obtain
• Able to pass police check, pre-employment medical
• Working with Children card (or willing to obtain)
• Strong experience and able to work independently
• Prior Council experience is a bonus
