The Client

Our Client forms part of the Operations Cell that supports aviation operations through effective operational planning, scheduling, management and reporting for all aviation assets and taskings.

Your Opportunity

Are you ready to take off in your career and contribute to the dynamic world of aviation? We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Ground Support Officer to join our team for a 3-month contract, with the potential for an extension.

In this vital role, you will provide logistical and administrative support for ground operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, and seamless flow of airport activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Flight Operations Support: Assist with passenger check-in, flight documentation, and the dispatch and receipt of flights.
• Ground Operations Assistance: Facilitate safe and efficient operations during aircraft arrival and departure, including loading and unloading baggage, freight, and equipment.
• Equipment and Aircraft Maintenance: Support refuelling, cleanliness, and ground service equipment operation.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient ground activities.
• Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate records that adhere to aviation regulatory and organisational standards.
• Airport Security: Enforce airport security protocols, monitor restricted areas, and safeguard equipment and aircraft.
• Administrative Support: Provide timely and high-quality administrative support to base coordinators and engineering teams.

About You

• Hold a valid Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) and pass a drug and alcohol test.
• Dangerous Goods Certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, pushing, and towing heavy equipment or cargo.
