Key responsibilities:

• Oversee corporate operations including finance, procurement, customer service, ICT, and records
• Support budget development, financial reporting, and long-term financial planning
• Coordinate governance, risk management, audit responses, and compliance
• Lead and mentor a team across corporate and internal service functions
• Foster collaboration across departments and contribute to continuous improvement
• Step into higher duties when required, with support and guidance from senior leadership

What we’re looking for:

• Local Government experience, ideally with exposure across multiple corporate functions
• A tertiary qualification in business, commerce, accounting, or a related field (ideally)
• Leadership experience (formal or informal) with the ability to support and motivate others
• Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working in a regional setting and committed to community
• CPA/CA qualifications are desirable but not essential
