POSITION
Fulltime position for an Outdoor Adventure Instructor in Smithfield, QLD 4878.
SKILL LEVEL
The role requires you to hold at least a relevant AQF Cert III or above + 12 months of relevant employment experience. If no relevant qualification, at least 3 years of relevant employment experience is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Outdoor Adventure Instructor, your responsibilities involve demonstrating, instructing, guiding and supervising exhilarating activities, including Bungy Jumping, the dynamic Giant Swing & Walk the Plank within our park. Throughout the entire jump process, your role involves overseeing general operations, operating the jump decks and ensuring smooth customer flow. You are responsible for guaranteeing the safety and enhance the enjoyment of every participant who embarks on an adventure within our park. In addition to your core responsibilities, you will play a pivotal role in creating a vibrant and immersive experience, combining your expertise with a passion for fostering a sense of excitement and exploration among our visitors.
TASKS
- Customer greeting & engagement: Extend a warm welcome to participants upon arrival. Communicate with everyone in a professional, confident and energetic manner creating an unforgettable and positive experience.
- Introduction Briefing: Provide a comprehensive briefing before participants engage in any activities. Answer any questions and address concerns, setting the stage for a safe and enjoyable experience.
- Safety Oversight: Offer expert guidance on safety measures associated with all of our jump variations such as the bungee, giant swing and plank to ensure all activities are conducted to minimise participant risks.
- Check Participant Eligibility: Understand all medical conditions and able to communicate and advise participants on their eligibility to complete an activity.
- Maintain Industry Knowledge: Possess a comprehensive understanding of all jump styles and variations on offer, confidently addressing participants inquiries.
- Instruction & Demonstration: Demonstrate and deliver clear instructions on the precise use of all our jumping equipment and techniques.
- Equipment Management: Conduct thorough daily checks to guarantee safety and functionality of all equipment prior to activities commencing. Collaborate with the Jump Controller to retire equipment that no longer meet company requirements by destroying and logging it in the correct database.
- General Operations & Customer Flow: Oversee general operations, operating the jump deck with indirect supervision from a Jump Controller. Manage customer flow, ensuring safe, efficient and effective operation of all jump decks and observe the entire jump process.
- Sales & Upselling: Stay informed about core product pricing and actively encourage upselling to enhance onsite sales.
- Documentation & Administration: Enter all daily jump information into the database and complete all daily paperwork requirements correctly.
- Professional Conduct: Arrive to work on time, wearing the correct uniform, and ready to provide a positive and enthusiastic experience for the participants.
- Debriefing: Conduct thorough debriefing sessions with participants, actively seeking feedback and addressing any concerns to enhance their overall experience.
SALARY
$65,000 - $75,000 per annum based on experience.
