Program Manager - Natural Resource Management

Precruitment is proud to partner with Gulf Savannah NRM to appoint a Program Manager who will deliver meaningful projects that support communities, strengthen resilience, and protect natural assets across Far North Queensland’s Gulf Savannah region.

This role offers the chance to work at the intersection of environment, agriculture, and community. As Program Manager, you will oversee multi-year funded initiatives, establish project frameworks, manage budgets, and support project staff to deliver outcomes that matter to communities and landscapes alike.

With funding secured and new projects ready to commence, this is an exciting opportunity to influence strategy and make a real difference in one of Australia’s most unique and ecologically important regions.



On Offer:

• Salary: $104,061 + super (full time) or pro rata for part-time
• 5 weeks annual leave + leave loading

About You
Your background could be in NRM, conservation, agriculture, local government, sustainability, or another related field, what matters most is your project management expertise and your passion for delivering outcomes that benefit both people and landscapes.

The successful candidate will bring:

• Strong project management and organisational skills
• Excellent communication
• Tertiary qualification in relevant field (e.g. Sustainability, Community Development, Environmental Science, Agriculture Science or Natural Resource Management)
• Flexibility to travel regularly throughout the region and ability to stay away from home on average, 3 nights per month
• Drivers licence
• Working with Children Blue-card or ability to obtain
