HR Advisor - remote role

We’re seeking an experienced HR advisor with Local Government experience to support a small, remote Council on a casual basis.

You’ll work from home using your own laptop, providing hands-on HR support across recruitment, PD and policy reviews, and general HR advice. The role will also involve mentoring a part-time HR Officer and helping ensure smooth HR coverage across Council.

On offer:

• Temp engagement expected to be for at least 6 months with potential for ongoing work
• Remote role – work from anywhere
• Flexible hours (part-time or full-time hours based on your preference)

About you:

• Must have Local Government HR experience
• Understanding of remote and regional Australia
• Bring your own laptop
• Able to work autonomously
• Must pass Australian Police Check
• Must have full working rights

You can expect to provide support with:

• Supporting end to end recruitment including PD reviews, advertising, interviews, checks and recommendations with onboarding to complete the process
• Support probation and annual review process
• Support review of PD’s
• Support Policy development and change
• Answer HR related questions and refer as required.
