Full-time Fruit Farm Worker in TOLGA QLD 4882

SKILLS

The role requires you to hold at least 1-year of relevant work experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Fruit Farm Worker your role is to perform routine tasks as directed to assist in the cultivation of banana and avocado crops.

DUTIES

• Meeting with farm management to receive assigned duties.
• Collecting and preparing equipment for daily use.
• Harvesting Avocado and Banana fruit.
• Transporting harvested fruit to the packing shed.
• Hanging, dehanding and washing bananas.
• Clustering, grading, sorting and packing bananas.
• Sorting, grading and packing fruit.
• Weighing, stacking, strapping and labelling produce for storage and distribution.
• Maintenance and repair of irrigation lines and sprinklers.
• Operating farm equipment and machinery to complete tasks such as slashing, application of fertilisers, herbicides and pesticides.
• Cleaning, sterilising, and maintaining equipment and machinery.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment for handling and mixing chemicals.
• Reporting completed tasks to the farm management.
• Additional duties may be required from time to time as required by the business.

SALARY

The salary offered will be $65,000 to $75,000 per annum negotiated based on your experience.
