Position:

We have a full-time position of Retail Manager in Normanton QLD, 4890

Skill Level:

This role requires you to hold at least a relevant AQF Diploma (or equivalent) with a minimum of 3 years of relevant employment experience.

If no formal qualification is held, three or more years of relevant work experience in similar role is required.

Responsibilities:

The Retail Manager oversees the daily operations of a small regional grocery store, ensuring that sales, staff performance, and store presentation consistently meet business and community expectations. The role involves supervising staff, managing stock levels, maintaining supplier relationships, and delivering high standards of customer service within a close-knit regional environment. The Retail Manager also contributes to business planning, budgeting, and community engagement activities to strengthen the store’s reputation and profitability.

Duties

  • Plan and coordinate the daily operations of the store to maintain smooth and efficient performance.
  • Supervise, lead, and train team members to deliver high standards of customer service and store presentation.
  • Manage inventory control, including stock ordering, pricing, rotation, and waste minimisation.
  • Oversee POS (Point of Sale) operations and daily cash handling
  • Liaise with suppliers and distributors to negotiate pricing, ensure timely delivery, and maintain stock quality.
  • Monitor sales performance
  • Ensure the store environment is clean, organised, and visually appealing to customers.
  • Handle customer enquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Support the Owner/Director in business planning
  • Lead by example, maintaining a professional and positive attitude while assisting in all areas of store operation.

SALARY

The salary offered will be $75000 to $85000 per annum
