POSITION

We have a full-time position for a Cafe Supervisor in Cairns QLD 4870.

SKILLS

You require at least a AQF certificate IV or higher qualification and at least 1-year relevant job experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The role of a Cafe Supervisor is for a highly professional, dynamic, organised, and motivated candidate. You will need to be prepared to lead a hard-working team by example, in a very fast paced environment. Must be capable to follow through with staff development, be proactive in store marketing, have excellent communication skills and be responsible for the store during your shift.

REPORTING

You will report to the Store Manager.

DUTIES

The position will require the following duties:

• Responsible for daily running of shifts in the Manager’s absence.
• All ordering duties in the absence of the Manager.
• On-the-job training of team members and imparting knowledge and basic practices.
• Supervision and delegation of team members in accordance with priorities.
• Managing breaks and mealtimes for rostered staff.
• Setting and maintaining standards of product, service, and experience at all times.
• Seeking further knowledge on cafe products, methods, manuals, and mode of operation.
• Setting the example in positive and effective communication in the workplace.
• Ensuring trading as to advertised hours.
• Ensuring side duties are completed to an effective standard.
• Making all decisions ensuring that the principles of common sense, knowledge and initiative are key features.
• Being responsible for reconciliations at the end of trading & money handling through the day (pay outs/ petty cash/ morning float count).
• Always looking for opportunities to work more efficiently and presenting these back to management in a timely organised manner.

SALARY

The salary offered will be $65,000 to $75,000 per annum based on your experience.
