POSITION

We have a full-time position for Fruit Farm Worker in Tolga QLD 4882.

SKILLS

You require at least 1 year of relevant work experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The role of the Fruit Farm Worker is to perform routine tasks as directed to assist with in banana & avocado crop cultivation.

POSITION DUTIES

You will need to undertake the following tasks:

• Meeting with Farm Supervisors to receive assigned tasks.
• Collecting and preparing equipment for daily use.
• Completing any prestart machinery checklists.
• Cleaning, sterilising, and maintaining equipment and machinery.
• Preforming general cultivation measures.
• Harvesting of bananas and avocados.
• Sorting, grading and packing bananas and avocados.
• Operating machinery to perform bagging, pruning, weeding, slashing, mulching, and fertiliser duties.
• Bagging banana bunch and ensuring secured correctly and covering bunch.
• Bell injecting banana bell before bell flowers emerge.
• De suckering, de leafing and stringing bananas.
• Maintenance and repair of irrigation lines and sprinklers.
• Reporting completed tasks to the farm supervisor.
• Additional duties may be required from time to time as required by the business.

SALARY

The salary offered will be $65,000 to $75,000 per annum based on your experience.
