POSITION

Full time position available for a Restaurant Supervisor in Palm Cove, QLD 4879.

SKILLS

The role requires you to hold at least a relevant AQF Certificate IV or above and at least 12 months of relevant employment experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure efficient and smooth service delivery.
  • Supervise, induct, and train food and beverage staff, ensuring all required competencies and service standards are met.
  • Manage staff performance, including rostering, monitoring productivity, and addressing grievances or disciplinary matters.
  • Plan and coordinate daily work schedules, allocate tasks, and adjust priorities as required to minimise disruption to operations.
  • Liaise regularly with business owners, managers, and team members to ensure clear communication and carry out any instructions from Management.
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service, including managing reservations, welcoming guests, and resolving customer complaints in a professional and positive manner.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
  • Complete end-of-day reporting, including staff cost and beverage cost monitoring and analysis.
  • Prepare and present food and beverage displays, including daily specials and promotional items.
  • Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, including specialty and mixed drinks.
  • Promote, practice, and enforce workplace health and safety (OH&S) procedures, actively contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate and manage emergency responses in accordance with café emergency and evacuation procedures.
  • Ensure all areas of the premises and equipment are maintained in a clean, safe, and hygienic condition.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with liquor licensing laws, ensuring staff adherence and addressing patron breaches promptly.
  • Maintain accurate accounting and operational records in accordance with relevant industry standards.
  • Monitor stock usage and ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained across all areas of the establishment.
  • Perform other incidental or related duties as directed by management.

SALARY
