Senior Human Resources Officer – Regional Queensland


Reporting to the HR Manager, you’ll provide end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, employee records management and HR administration for a remote Indigenous Council. You’ll also coordinate internal training, maintain registers, and assist with HR-related reporting and cyclical activities such as performance and remuneration reviews.

About You

You’re someone who is comfortable living and working in a remote Indigenous community and understands the unique challenges and rewards that come with it. You’re a hands-on HR generalist who enjoys partnering with teams to support the full employee lifecycle. You bring strong administrative and document control skills, handle confidential matters with care, and communicate with cultural sensitivity and respect. This role suits someone who’s adaptable, community-minded, and motivated by meaningful work.

You will bring:

• Demonstrated experience in, or genuine interest in, remote Indigenous community life and work
• Generalist HR experience in a customer-focused environment
• Strong knowledge of HR policies, privacy requirements, and employee records
• Experience coordinating recruitment, onboarding and training
• Excellent document control, system and reporting skills
