Role Overview

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Accountant to step into a broad, hands-on role supporting a diverse and growing organisation. Working closely with senior leadership, you will play an important role in maintaining financial integrity, improving reporting quality and supporting operational decision-making across multiple business streams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting activities to ensure financial information is accurate, complete and reliable across the organisation
  • Manage core accounting processes including ledger maintenance, reconciliations and periodic financial adjustments
  • Coordinate routine financial transactions such as banking activity, internal charges, employee expenses and supplier-related allocations
  • Prepare financial entries relating to provisions, timing adjustments, financing arrangements and employee-related obligations
  • Assist with monitoring cash position and contribute to forward-looking cash planning and reporting
  • Maintain accurate records of business assets, ensuring appropriate recognition, valuation and depreciation treatment
  • Contribute to the preparation and review of budgets, forecasts and performance updates
  • Support internal compliance requirements and uphold strong financial governance practices
  • Assist with preparation of financial information for audits, statutory reporting and external review processes
  • Work closely with senior finance leadership to enhance systems, reporting quality and process efficiency
  • Partner with operational teams to provide financial guidance and improve cost awareness
  • Support tracking and financial oversight of operational activities, projects and capital investments
  • Review cost movements, identify variances and assist in explaining performance outcomes
  • Ensure appropriate financial treatment of completed work, capital items and operational expenditure
  • Contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives through better reporting, analysis and process refinement
  • Provide general financial support and analysis as required to meet business needs

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience and a desire to grow, learn and develop
  • Strong Excel capability and confidence working with ERP systems
  • High attention to detail with a practical, solutions-focused mindset
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
  • A positive attitude and willingness to be part of a close-knit team
