The Opportunity

Our client is currently requiring an Accounts Payable Officer to assist in delivering key Accounts Payable (AP) processes ensuring timely, accurate and compliant processing of creditor transactions, invoice intake, digital workflow management, supplier maintenance, and completion of financial and system reconciliations. The role also includes invoice scanning validation, workflow distribution and inbox monitoring, as well as preparing and completing scheduled payment run processes.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will require previous experience in:

  • Allocation and distribution of all creditor invoices across the organisation for authorisation in a timely manner.
  • Respond and monitor enquiries from internal and external customers that require attention.
  • Ensure that invoices are reviewed, corrected as required, and flow through the payment systems correctly.
  • Setting up new suppliers to ensure accuracy, compliance and integrity of the Financial Management System.
  • Filing of creditor and other relevant documentation in line with policies and procedures.
  • Maintains financial systems.
  • Ensuring accurate records are kept by standard practices.
  • Managing invoicing procedures to collect money owed by clients/customers.
  • Effectively executing internal and external liaison and communication activ
  • Assisting in the production of monthly and ad-hoc financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Reviewing transactions to ensure they are correctly accounted for and comply with company policies and standards.
