POSITION

We have full-time opportunities for the position of Fruit Farm Worker in Mareeba, QLD, 4880.

SKILLS

This role requires you to possess at least a Certificate I or a higher qualification or at least one-year relevant experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your role as a Fruit Farm Worker is to carry out routine tasks as assigned within the orchard and packing facility.

REPORTS TO

You will be required to report to the Horticulture Supervisor.

POSITION DUTIES

You will undertake the following duties;

• Meeting with horticultural supervisors to receive assigned tasks.
• Collecting and preparing equipment for daily use.
• Completing any prestart machinery checklists.
• Cleaning, sterilising, and maintaining equipment and machinery.
• Pruning, thinning, and general orchard maintenance.
• Harvesting of fruit in the orchard.
• Assisting with loading and unloading produce for transport.
• Sorting Grading and packing fruit.
• Stacking, stickering, tray labelling and cleaning duties
• Operating machinery to perform misting, spraying, slashing and fertiliser duties.
• Maintenance and repair of irrigation lines and sprinklers.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, biosecurity and OH&S
• Additional duties may be required from time to time as required by the business.

SALARY

The annual salary offered will range from $65,000 to $75,000, negotiated based upon your level of experience.
