POSITION

We have a full-time role available for a Waiter in Cairns 4870 QLD

SKILLS

The role requires you to hold at least a relevant AQF (or equivalent) Cert II or above and 12 months of relevant work experience. If no relevant qualification, at least 2 years of relevant work experience is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Waiter is responsible for ensuring a high level of customer service to provide guests with an enjoyable dining experience. Duties involve taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling payments, assisting with reservations and maintaining cleanliness and compliance with restaurant policies. Knowledge of the menu, specials and dietary considerations is essential.

TASKS

• Greet and acknowledge guests in a courteous and professional manner
• Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
• Serve food and beverages promptly
• Handle payments using POS systems and cash registers
• Clear and reset tables to restaurant standards
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements
• Monitor stock levels and notify supervisors when restocking is required
• Respond to customer complaints and inform the manager if needed
• Ensure compliance with liquor licensing requirements
• Restock and maintain service areas
• Collaborate with team members and assist where necessary
• Follow safe food handling procedures
• Maintain speed and accuracy during peak service times
• Perform occasional cleaning duties as required
• Manage multiple food orders simultaneously
• Make recommendations on food and beverages

SALARY

The position offers an annual salary of $65,000 - $75,000 negotiated based on your experience.
