The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join a high-performing finance team based in Far North Queensland.

Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, this role is responsible for managing taxation and statutory reporting compliance while supporting broader business operations and financial objectives.

You will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial data across multiple operations, supporting monthly and annual reporting requirements, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and contributing to ongoing improvements in financial reporting and compliance processes.

The role also involves liaising with auditors and stakeholders, preparing reconciliations and variance reports, supporting consolidated financial reporting, and assisting with audit and governance requirements.


About You

You are a detail-oriented finance professional with strong technical accounting capability and the ability to work collaboratively across a complex business environment.

You will bring:

  • Degree qualifications in Accounting, Business or Commerce
  • CPA or CA qualification
  • Strong experience in financial accounting, taxation and statutory compliance
  • Experience preparing financial reports, reconciliations and audit documentation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and organisational capability
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Experience within a large or multi-site organisation will be highly regarded.
