POSITION

We have a full-time position for a Fruit Farm Worker available in Lakeland QLD 4871.

SKILLS

You require at least 1 year of relevant employment experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The role of a Fruit Farm Worker is to perform routine tasks as directed to assist with crop cultivation. Daily tasks will vary depending on annual cropping cycle, market demands, and weather.

TASKS

The position will require you to perform the following tasks;

• Meeting with farm supervisors to receive assigned tasks.
• Undertaking a variety of tasks to assist in the cultivation process, such as; weeding, crop misting, fertilising, bell injecting, stringing, bagging and deleafing.
• Collecting and preparing equipment for harvest.
• Completing any prestart machinery checklists.
• Operation of irrigation lines and sprinklers.
• Conduct minor repairs and maintenance on farm machinery where required
• Harvesting produce with care to avoid damage.
• Sorting, grading and packing bananas.
• Maintain accurate and up to date records of tasks completed.
• Transporting picked produce to transport.
• Ensuring farm biosecurity measures are maintained.
• Additional duties may be required from time to time as required by the business.

SALARY

The salary offered will be $65,000 to $75,000 per annum negotiated based on your experience.
