The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated Financial Accountant to join a well established finance team based in Far North Queensland.

Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the organisation’s financial operations, reporting and compliance functions.

This position offers exposure across a broad range of accounting responsibilities including month-end processes, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, taxation compliance, audit support, reconciliations and financial analysis.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial data, maintain strong financial controls, and support informed business decision-making across the organisation.

About You

You are a proactive and detail-oriented accounting professional looking to further develop your career within a supportive corporate environment.

You will bring:

• Degree qualifications in Accounting, Business or Commerce
• CPA or CA qualified, or currently working towards completion
• 3–5 years’ experience in an accounting role
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple business units

Experience within a large or multi-site organisation will be highly regarded.
