The Opportunity

Our Client is seeking an experienced and highly capable Manager Water to lead the strategic and operational delivery of its water supply and sewerage services.

This is a critical leadership appointment responsible for providing professional engineering oversight, driving operational performance, mentoring technical staff, and ensuring compliance across treatment operations, network infrastructure, regulatory obligations and capital works delivery.

Working within the Council Services leadership team, you will oversee service planning, contract management, infrastructure performance, compliance frameworks and continuous improvement initiatives, while leading a team through operational uplift and organisational change.

This role is ideally offered as a 3-year contract.

About You

You are a technically strong and commercially minded engineering leader with extensive experience in municipal water and wastewater service delivery.

You will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Environmental or similar)
  • Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ)
  • Demonstrated senior leadership experience in water and sewerage operations
  • Strong technical knowledge across treatment, reticulation networks, compliance and capital delivery
  • Experience mentoring operational and technical teams
  • Strong understanding of Queensland water regulatory frameworks (or highly comparable environments)
  • Contract management and stakeholder management experience
  • Experience leading teams through operational improvement and organisational change
  • Queensland C Class Driver Licence
  • Construction White/Blue Card
