The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Building Supervisor to lead the delivery, maintenance and operational management of Council’s buildings and facilities portfolio.

This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing building maintenance programs, facilities operations, contractor coordination and project delivery, while ensuring infrastructure remains safe, compliant and operational for the community.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team including carpenters, electricians and administration staff, providing day-to-day leadership, work allocation, technical guidance and operational oversight. Experience working with QBuild and managing maintenance or capital works programmes will be highly regarded.

This is a predominantly on-site role within a remote community, with some flexibility for occasional work from home arrangements where operationally suitable.

• $140,000–$150,000 base salary + Super

About You

You are a practical and capable building professional with strong leadership skills and a background managing building maintenance teams, facilities operations or construction-related projects.

You will bring:

• Proven experience as a Building Supervisor or similar leadership role
• Strong experience overseeing building maintenance, repairs and facilities operations
• Experience working with QBuild systems, processes or projects
• Ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary trades teams
• Contractor management and project coordination experience
• Strong understanding of building compliance, safety and maintenance standards
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a remote Local Government environment

Local Government or remote community experience will be highly regarded.
