The Opportunity
Seeking a Workplace Health and Safety Advisor to support the delivery of safe, compliant and high-performing construction and maintenance operations across a diverse project portfolio.

This is a hands-on advisory role where you will work closely with operational teams, supervisors, contractors and leadership to promote a strong safety culture, ensure legislative compliance and support the effective implementation of workplace health and safety systems. From site inspections and audits through to incident investigations, rehabilitation support and training delivery, this is a varied role with real impact.

This opportunity would suit a proactive WHS professional who enjoys being out in the field, building strong stakeholder relationships and driving practical safety outcomes.

About the Role
Key responsibilities include:
• Conduct workplace health, safety and environmental audits and site inspections across operational worksites
• Provide practical WHS advice and guidance to operational staff, supervisors and management
• Support compliance with workplace safety legislation, policies and internal safety management systems
• Assist with incident reporting, investigations and contractor notifiable incident management
• Support rehabilitation and return to work programs in conjunction with the relevant internal stakeholders
• Assist in the coordination of emergency planning and response activities across offices and operational sites
• Support the development, review and implementation of SWMS, risk assessments and WHS management plans
• Deliver or assist with safety information sessions, toolbox talks and training initiatives
• Prepare regular WHS reporting and compliance documentation
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen workplace safety performance

About You
You are a practical and engaging WHS professional who can confidently work across operational environments and build strong working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders. You are comfortable balancing compliance requirements with practical, fit-for-purpose safety outcomes.

You will bring:
• Previous experience in a workplace health and safety advisory role
• Strong understanding of Australian WHS legislation and compliance requirements
• Experience conducting site audits, inspections and risk assessments
• Exposure to incident investigations, reporting and corrective action processes
• Experience supporting return to work and injury management programs
• Ability to engage effectively with operational teams, contractors and leadership
• Current Driver Licence
• Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety (highly desirable)
• Strong written reporting and documentation skills
• Experience within construction, maintenance, building or infrastructure environments will be highly regarded
